Our church has welcomed a new pastor! After our pastoral search committee went through a prayerful process of discernment, our church has gratefully appointed a new pastor.
Lyndon and his wife Rachel are from Waihi and have two adult children. He is as a builder and has worked in the industry for a number of years. Rachel has worked for many years as a teacher.
As a couple, they have worked in China over a ten year period sharing the gospel while working with a China based import/export company, and a sailing club and school.
His pastoral heart encompasses God’s mission both local and overseas. He loves talking with people and sharing life with them. He has a passion for Jesus and his people.
Lyndon did his theological training at Carey Baptist College and has a Bachelor of Applied Theology. He was Senior Pastor at Manurewa Baptist from 2016 – 2022.

Shane is a horticultural agronomist who loves praying for others and with his wife sharing Jesus through study groups like the Alpha course and Hope Project.
Colin is a retired Social worker/counselor. He runs a home group and is involved in prayer and street ministry.
Diane describes herself as a wife, mother, grandmother and a carer for the elderly, She loves making greeting cards and teaching others how to do the same.
David is a retired Lawyer who undertakes the legal side of Thames Baptist Church.
Terri is an accountant who is currently working and volunteering for Living Well trust, Kauaeranga Christian Camp and other organisations.
